If you prioritize higher performance for intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering work, and don't mind a slightly heavier laptop with a higher price, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 is recommended. It offers more storage, twice the RAM, and a more powerful processor which can also handle some gaming. On the other hand, if you want something more affordable, with a decent performance for general use, and value a touchscreen with better portability, the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 may suit you. You'll get less storage and a less powerful processor, which may not be ideal for demanding software applications. Give Feedback

Rtings

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."

NotebookCheck

Mario Petzold | February 2023
"Internals make Asus VivoBook S15 laptop a compelling option. The Asus multimedia laptop may look rather below-average with its modest black chassis, lack of a dedicated GPU, limited RAM and meagre port selection without Thunderbolt support. But your impression of the device will start changing once you set your eyes on its high-contrast OLED capable of producing deep blacks and highly accurate colours. And your opinion will change completely when the VivoBook is switched on. The AMD CPU can effortlessly keep up with powerful rivals from Intel. The integrated Radeon graphics blows away Intel's iGPU when it comes to graphics workloads such as rendering and simpler games."
