The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is a more budget-friendly option, slightly lighter, and offers a touchscreen with a higher resolution and aspect ratio, which can be valuable for reading and productivity tasks. However, it comes with less storage, a less powerful processor and integrated graphics, making it less suited for intensive tasks. The Acer Aspire Vero 15, on the other hand, has a larger screen, a more powerful processor, more RAM and storage, and better performance for demanding software and multitasking. It's heavier and lacks a touchscreen but compensates with a robust build and is environmentally friendly. If you prioritize performance and storage over budget and a touchscreen, opt for the Aspire Vero 15; for a more affordable, lightweight laptop with touch capabilities, the Aspire 3 Spin 14 may be your choice. The Acer Aspire Vero 15 is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15 offers a more powerful Intel i7 processor compared to the i3 in the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14, which alongside more RAM results in markedly improved performance for general use. Furthermore, the Vero 15 provides a larger storage capacity, better speaker quality, and a higher-quality keyboard, though it is slightly heavier and less portable than the Spin 14, which may impact its suitability for users requiring mobility.

The Acer Aspire Vero 15 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for content creation, and software development.
If you prioritize a high-quality display for general tasks like web browsing or document work, both the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 and Acer Aspire Vero 15 may appear adequate, but their modest resolution and brightness levels might not stand out. Those interested in engineering and design where color accuracy matters, might find that these models don't deliver the wide color gamuts like DCI-P3 or Adobe RGB typically required for this work. For gaming and 3D applications, the lack of a high refresh rate combined with only adequate resolution and panel types on both laptops means they're not ideal for fast-paced visuals or intricate graphical details.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Acer Aspire Vero 15 to be only fair for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 and Acer Aspire Vero 15 are equipped with Intel UHD and Intel Iris Xe graphics respectively, which provide fair performance for casual gaming and entry-level 3D work, but neither laptop is designed for high-end gaming or advanced 3D tasks due to their standard screen refresh rates and integrated GPUs. Both have capable CPUs, with the Vero 15 having a more powerful one, and while screen quality is satisfactory, neither offers the high refresh rates or the dedicated GPUs that serious gaming and intensive 3D applications demand.

How the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 and the Acer Aspire Vero 15 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
"The Acer Aspire Vero is an eco-friendly Windows 11 laptop. Made with PCR plastic, the Acer Aspire Vero stands out from the midrange laptop pack with a funky, eco-friendly design. Powering Microsoft’s latest operating system is a Core i7 chip from Intel’s latest series, integrated Intel Xe graphics, and an ample 16GB of RAM. The laptop feels snappy, but its battery life disappoints. I also have a few quibbles with the display and keyboard, but they’re relatively minor. With a longer runtime, the Aspire Vero would earn a stronger recommendation for students or anyone looking for an eco-friendly, big-screen laptop."
