The Acer Aspire 3 15 is a budget-friendly choice, suitable for general use and offers superior battery life, making it highly portable. Its lightweight design and efficient power management provide quiet operation. Conversely, the Razer Blade 18 packs high-performance components, including a robust processor and graphics card, ideal for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering tasks. It has a larger, high-refresh-rate display and more storage, though comes with a premium price tag and shorter battery life which makes it less portable. Its capabilities make it more suited for users who require powerful performance over mobility and cost savings. Give Feedback

The Razer Blade 18 is very good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is only fair.
The Razer Blade 18 outperforms the Acer Aspire 3 15 due to its significantly more powerful CPU and greater amount of RAM, leading to a much better performance in general use; the Blade's superior screen quality enhances user experience further, although the tradeoffs include less portability due to its larger size and significantly lower battery life. While the Aspire 3 15 offers quiet operation and longer battery life, making it more suited for on-the-go users, its general use is hampered by a less robust CPU, less RAM, and a screen with lower resolution and color accuracy.

The Razer Blade 18 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Razer Blade 18 is excellent for gaming and 3D because it features a powerful Nvidia RTX GPU and a high screen refresh rate, providing smooth and detailed gameplay visuals. Conversely, the Acer Aspire 3 15 has a more basic AMD Radeon GPU and a standard refresh rate which, while adequate for casual gaming, doesn't support the advanced graphics and rapid motion seen in more intensive gaming and 3D applications.

The Razer Blade 18 is excellent for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 15, with its AMD Ryzen 3 CPU and AMD Radeon GPU, is adequate for lighter engineering and design tasks but may fall short for more demanding work, while the Razer Blade 18 excels due to its far more powerful Intel i9 CPU and Nvidia RTX GPU, which are better suited for intensive engineering applications. Additionally, the Razer Blade has a higher quality screen and significantly more RAM, which are crucial for design work, though its larger size and weight make it less portable than the Acer Aspire 3 15.

The Razer Blade 18 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Acer Aspire 3's screen may offer enough resolution and brightness for everyday activities like web browsing or word processing, but it lacks the superior panel technology and higher brightness of the Razer Blade 18, which ensures clearer and more vivid images. In engineering and design, the Razer Blade 18's screen delivers a wider range of colors covering professional color gamuts, making it better suited for precision work, while the Acer Aspire 3's display may fall short in color accuracy. When it comes to gaming and 3D applications, despite their high resolutions and acceptable panel types, neither laptop excels due to low refresh rates, leading to less fluid motion and gameplay compared to screens designed specifically for these purposes.

Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"Razer made a powerful laptop in the Blade 18, showing off a beautiful and fast display and the same high-quality build we’ve come to expect from this product line. It’s also quite expensive, which is hardly a surprise, but bears repeating even in this price range. It’s pricier than the Scar 18 despite an inferior GPU and half the storage, so you really have to want the Blade 18’s design to justify the cost."
