If you prioritize performance for demanding tasks such as gaming, 3D rendering or machine learning, the Razer Blade 17 offers significantly better capabilities with a top-tier graphics card and a more powerful processor. However, it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, which affects portability. On the other hand, the Acer Aspire 3 15 is much more affordable, offers decent performance for general use, and boasts a longer battery life, making it lighter and easier to carry around. It lacks the high-end specs for intensive tasks but is suitable for everyday activities such as web browsing, office work, and streaming videos. Give Feedback

The Razer Blade 17 is very good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 is fair for general use due to its more modest CPU and RAM, smaller storage, and lower screen quality, yet it is more portable and has longer battery life, making it suitable for light tasks and mobile use. Conversely, the Razer Blade 17 offers a very good general use experience with its high-end CPU, ample RAM, large and high-quality display, although it is heavier and has shorter battery life, favoring stationary use and performance-intensive tasks.

The Razer Blade 17 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Razer Blade 17 is excellent for gaming and 3D because it features a high-end Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti graphics card and a screen with a high refresh rate for smooth gameplay, while the Acer Aspire 3 15, with its more modest AMD Radeon 610M GPU and standard refresh rate, offers a fair experience that's suitable for less demanding tasks. Additionally, the Razer Blade 17 possesses a more powerful CPU and a higher quality display, contributing to its superior performance, but the Acer Aspire 3 15 can still handle general use and casual gaming at a more affordable level.

The Razer Blade 17 is excellent for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 is equipped with less powerful CPU, RAM, and GPU components, which are adequate for basic engineering tasks and has a lower-resolution screen which could reduce its effectiveness in design work, whereas the Razer Blade 17 offers a high-performance CPU and GPU, abundant RAM, and a superior screen with higher resolution and color accuracy, making it much better suited for complex engineering simulations and detailed design work. While the Razer Blade 17 has these advantages in power and display, it is also heavier and less portable, and may have more noticeable fan noise due to its more powerful components when compared to the quieter, lighter, and fanless Acer Aspire 3 15.

The Razer Blade 17 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 offers adequate resolution and brightness for casual browsing and video streaming, making it suitable for general tasks, but its limited color gamut means it falls short for professional design work where color accuracy is key. While the Razer Blade 17 provides a sharp, bright display with a wide color range that appeals to engineers and creatives looking for precise color representation for their projects, its low refresh rate isn't ideal for the fast-paced visuals required in gaming and 3D applications. Therefore, for general use or design work, the Razer Blade is preferable, but for gaming and 3D tasks, both may disappoint those seeking fluid motion and quick screen responses.

Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"Our test configuration of the Blade 17 targets gamers and creative professionals. A Core i9-12900H processor, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU (175 watts TGP after the BIOS update, 16 GB of VRAM), and 32 GB of working memory equip the laptop for video processing, rending, and 4k gaming at the highest level. In addition, a fast PCIe-4 SSD (1 TB) ensures short load and storage times. With the Blade 17 (Early 2022), Razer delivers a successful and powerful work device for creative professionals. But this also has its price."
