If your priority is saving money and your tasks don't require intense computing power, the Acer Aspire 3 15 is a wallet-friendly option with adequate performance for general use. However, for those involved in more demanding activities like gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning, the higher-priced MSI Thin GF63 offers significantly better performance with its advanced processor and graphics card. It also has a better display for such tasks with a higher refresh rate. The MSI Thin GF63 has a smaller battery capacity but may still offer a comparable battery life due to its more efficient components. The Acer is lighter and slightly more portable, which could be important if you often carry your laptop around. Give Feedback

The MSI Thin GF63 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
When considering screen quality for general use, both the Acer Aspire 3 15 and MSI Thin GF63 offer adequate panel resolution and brightness, making them suitable for daily tasks like web browsing and document editing, but they may lack the vibrant colors and sharpness provided by higher-end displays. For engineering and design, where color accuracy is crucial, both laptops provide fair performance, although professionals might find the color gamut coverage insufficient when precision in color representation is needed for tasks such as photo editing or graphic design. Gamers and 3D artists may find the refresh rates on these laptops falling short for fluid motion and quick response times, and while the resolution and panel type are acceptable, those seeking a premium gaming or 3D experience might need to look at laptops specialized in those areas.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the MSI Thin GF63 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The MSI GF63 Thin 11SC can be an admirable value for gamers and power users on a minimal budget. For just $599 as reviewed in its base model, its Intel Core i5 H-class processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics perform much better than low-wattage CPUs and integrated graphics. That said, this is a light-class gaming laptop. Low scores in our demanding gaming benchmarks indicate using lower visual-quality settings will be required for playable performance."
