The Acer Aspire 3 15 is an affordable choice, well-suited for everyday tasks like browsing and document editing, with satisfactory screen quality and battery life for casual use. In contrast, the MSI Raider GE66 is significantly pricier and geared toward heavy-duty activities, such as gaming, 3D rendering, and demanding engineering software, delivering high performance, a better screen resolution, and robust graphics capabilities. It also has a much higher refresh rate for smoother visuals, but this comes at the cost of portability due to its heavier weight. If cost is a primary concern and your needs are basic, the Acer is sufficient, but for demanding tasks and better overall build quality and features, the MSI is a more suitable but costly option. The MSI Raider GE66 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Acer Aspire 3's screen offers a resolution and brightness that's adequate for everyday tasks, while lacking the wide color range and sharpness ideal for more demanding visual work. The MSI Raider GE66's screen, with higher resolution and better brightness, delivers crisper and more vibrant visuals, making it better suited for precision tasks like engineering and design. However, due to the lower refresh rate, which is vital for smooth rendering in 3D applications and gaming, both laptops may not provide the best experience in those areas, favoring laptops specifically designed with higher refresh rates.

"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The MSI Raider GE66 12UHS notebook passes with flying colors. The GE66 is a high-end notebook with strong performance. The keyboard and trackpad are still very good and score well with precise inputs as well as high build quality. Thanks to a new liquid metal cooling solution, the Intel Core i9 12900HK brings a performance increase of around 50 percent over the predecessor's Intel Core i9 10980HK. The installed graphics card in our device delivers up to 30 percent higher frame rates than the RTX 2070 Super in the MSI GE66 10SFS."
