For everyday tasks, the Acer Aspire 3 15 offers solid performance at a budget-friendly price, with a decent screen and good battery life, making it a practical choice for general use. However, it falls short in gaming and intensive tasks due to its modest processor and lack of advanced features. On the other hand, the MSI Raider 18 HX is a powerhouse designed for high-end gaming and demanding engineering tasks, boasting a top-tier processor and graphics card, a stunning high-resolution touchscreen, and superior build quality. It's also equipped with a plethora of ports and high-speed connectivity options. But, it comes with a hefty price tag, shorter battery life, and is less portable due to its larger size and weight. If you prioritize performance and are willing to pay a premium for it, and portability isn't a major concern, the MSI Raider 18 HX is the way to go. However, if you're looking for an affordable, reliable laptop for everyday use without the need for intense processing power, the Acer Aspire 3 15 is a more cost-effective option. Give Feedback

Rtings

Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
