The Acer Aspire 3 15 is more budget-friendly and offers decent battery life for general use, with a standard display and silent operation, which makes it suitable for everyday tasks and light work. On the other hand, the MSI Prestige 15, although more expensive, comes with more storage, better performance for engineering, 3D work, and machine learning tasks due to a stronger processor and dedicated graphics card, and a superior screen that displays colors more vibrantly. If you require a laptop for more intensive tasks and can afford a higher price, the MSI Prestige 15 would be a suitable choice, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is more tailored for budget-conscious users needing a laptop for basic functions and longer battery usage. How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the MSI Prestige 15 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The MSI Prestige 15 offers a dazzling 4K image quality, and solid performance. The MSI Prestige 15 appears to consistently implement the guiding principle of throttling the solid and efficient hardware to such an extent that content creation succeeds perfectly. Performance-hungry tasks, on the other hand, are slowed down a little by the reduced power consumption. Conversely, this means that the case remains relatively cool and the dual fan subdued. The battery life also benefits somewhat. So the losses aren't really dramatic because full performance is still available for short bursts."
