The MSI Prestige 14 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3's fair screen quality for general use is due to the panel type, resolution, and brightness being adequate but not exceptional, which is fine for everyday tasks but doesn't stand out. For engineering and design, the color accuracy is crucial, and the Aspire 3's screen provides just enough to satisfy basic requirements, but professionals will notice limited color range compared to higher-end displays. With regards to gaming and 3D, the Acer Aspire 3 falls short because of its lower refresh rate, which leads to less smooth visuals, and its adequate resolution and panel type do not compensate enough for this disadvantage.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the MSI Prestige 14 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The MSI Prestige 14” is excellent for productivity and business use cases, but it is not ideal for creators or visual content editors. The Prestige was able to power through days of email, spreadsheets, and text documents without breaking a sweat and was a joy to use. The additional ports were a breath of fresh air, as most laptops seem to be moving towards just Thunderbolt ports. The security options made signing in effortless, with two quick, more secure, and faster options than even the most complex alphanumeric passcode."
