If you prioritize higher storage capacity and more memory for multitasking, the MSI Modern 14 is better equipped for your needs. It’s also more portable due to its lighter weight and slightly smaller screen size, which some may prefer for mobility. On the other hand, the Acer Aspire 3 15 is less expensive and could be a more cost-effective choice while still providing adequate performance for general use. Its larger screen is better for those who prefer bigger displays but does come with a tradeoff of additional weight. Neither is suitable for intensive gaming, but both should handle everyday tasks well. Give Feedback

The MSI Modern 14 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use.
For general use, both the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the MSI Modern 14 offer fair screen quality because they provide adequate resolution and brightness, but may not have the premium panel types that make for the most vivid displays. When it comes to engineering and design, they might not cover the wider color gamuts like DCI-P3 or Adobe RGB that professionals need for accurate color representation. For gaming and 3D tasks, their refresh rates are lower, which means they aren’t as smooth for fast-paced visuals, despite having acceptable resolution and panel types.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the MSI Modern 14 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | October 2023
"The MSI Modern 14 is okay for school use. It's very compact, so it's easy to carry around. It has a sharp display, a spacious keyboard, and a reasonably large touchpad. Its Intel 13th Gen CPU and integrated graphics can handle general productivity tasks like text processing and web browsing; however, don't expect to do anything intensive like 3D modeling or physics simulations. Unfortunately, the battery lasts less than five hours of light use, and the display doesn't get bright enough to combat glare."
