The Acer Aspire 3 15 is a budget-friendly option with standard features suitable for general use; it offers limited storage and performance but benefits from a lower price and longer battery life. The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio, on the other hand, is priced higher but provides advanced capabilities like more storage, a more powerful processor, dedicated graphics for 3D or engineering tasks, and a touchscreen with a higher resolution display. It is better suited for intensive tasks but is slightly heavier and has a shorter battery life compared to the Acer. Give Feedback

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is only fair.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio is better suited for general use than the Acer Aspire 3 15 primarily due to its more powerful CPU, higher RAM, better screen quality with higher resolution and touchscreen capability, and overall higher build quality including a sturdier, more versatile design. Although the Acer has slightly better battery life and silent operation due to being fanless, the Surface Laptop Studio's advantages in performance, portability with a more compact size and higher portability score, and better speaker and keyboard quality make it more appropriate for a broader range of tasks and environments.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio is good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio offers superior performance for engineering and design due to its higher-end CPU and GPU, more RAM, and a screen with better color accuracy and brightness, which are crucial for detailed design work. Meanwhile, the Acer Aspire 3 15 may not cope as well with demanding tasks and has a less impressive display, but it rates higher in portability and has a longer battery life, which could be significant for users who prioritize on-the-go use over raw power.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 15's screen may suffice for day-to-day activities due to its acceptable resolution and brightness, but enthusiasts seeking true color representation for engineering or design might find its color accuracy limited. On the other hand, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio boasts a screen that excels in both resolution and color reproduction, making it an excellent choice for professionals needing precision in visual work. However, both laptops fall short for gaming and 3D tasks, as their screens do not offer the high refresh rates needed for the smoothest visuals in fast-paced scenarios.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"There’s no doubt that the Surface Laptop Studio is groundbreaking. We’ve come to expect such things from the Surface lineup, so it’s always nice to see a product that exceeds our expectations. The pull-forward laptop-screen concept has been tried before, but never in a device that’s so stylish and packed with innovative features like a haptic touchpad and robust digital stylus support."
