The Acer Aspire 3 15 offers a budget-friendly option with larger screen size, better battery life, and a dedicated numeric pad, making it suitable for tasks like data entry. However, it's heavier and bulkier, hence less portable. The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 costs more but features a smaller, higher resolution touchscreen with better color coverage, a more premium build, and lighter weight which enhances its portability. Its better webcam and speaker quality suit virtual meetings and media consumption. Choose the Acer for cost savings and more screen real estate or the Microsoft for portability, touch interface, and overall build and display quality. Give Feedback

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 is only fair for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen CPU and AMD Radeon GPU, paired with a 15.6-inch IPS display of Full HD resolution, making it suitable for engineering and design tasks that require fair processing power and screen real estate. Meanwhile, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2, with its Intel i5 CPU and Intel Iris Xe graphics, provides slightly better computing performance and a higher-quality display despite its smaller 12.4-inch screen size, which benefits design work with sharp visuals, but may be less ideal for multitasking due to the smaller screen.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 review is a compact companion with old hardware. The Surface Laptop Go 2 shows some weaknesses. Microsoft didn't really develop the second generation of the Surface Laptop Go 2 any further but has only equipped it with a slightly more powerful Core i5 processor. However, the performance still remains at a fairly low level overall, but for many users, it definitely should still be sufficient for everyday tasks."
