The Acer Aspire 3 15 is a budget-friendly option with essential features suitable for basic tasks and light productivity, offering a larger screen and a dedicated number pad on the keyboard but at the expense of lesser storage capacity and a heavier design. On the other hand, the LG Gram 16 is more expensive but provides a higher-resolution screen, more storage, and a powerful processor that can handle more demanding applications and multitasking. Additionally, the LG Gram 16 is remarkably lighter and boasts longer battery life, which makes it an excellent choice for those who prioritize portability and need to work on the go. Give Feedback

The LG Gram 16 is only fair for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 has a lower-tier AMD Radeon GPU, while the LG Gram 16 sports Intel Iris Xe graphics; both are suitable for moderate gaming but not high-end 3D performance due to modest GPU capabilities and standard 60Hz screen refresh rates. Additionally, while the LG Gram 16 has a sharper screen quality and a more powerful CPU, contributing to better overall performance than the Acer, it still doesn't quite reach the high standard required for intensive gaming and 3D tasks.

The LG Gram 16 is good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The LG Gram 16 outperforms the Acer Aspire 3 15 in engineering and design use primarily due to having a more powerful CPU, double the RAM, and a higher quality screen, which is essential for tasks that demand a lot of processing power and detail. While the Acer has an adequate CPU and GPU for lighter tasks, its lower RAM and screen quality make it less suitable for intensive applications, although it offers a good balance between performance and cost.

The LG Gram 16 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Acer Aspire 3's screen provides adequate resolution and brightness, but the LG Gram 16 stands out with a higher resolution and superior brightness, enhancing text clarity and visibility in various lighting conditions. When it comes to engineering and design work, the LG Gram's wider color gamuts ensure more accurate color representation, which is critical for precise visual tasks, while the Acer's more limited color range might be less ideal for color-critical work. However, both the Acer Aspire 3 and the LG Gram 16 fall short for gaming and 3D applications due to lower refresh rates, which detract from the fluidity and responsiveness necessary for an optimal immersive experience, despite their suitable resolutions and panel types.

Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
