Choosing between the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 involves considering your primary needs. The Acer Aspire 3 is a budget-friendly option, less expensive than the ThinkPad Z13, but with lower performance capabilities due to its less powerful processor and graphics, making it suitable for basic general use. On the other hand, the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 offers better performance and portability, with a higher-quality build and a more compact, lighter design, plus a touchscreen, which might be appealing if you require more mobility or engage in tasks like engineering work or 3D modeling. Also, the ThinkPad has a longer battery life which is beneficial if you spend long periods away from power outlets but comes at a higher price point. Give Feedback

The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 offers an adequate display for everyday tasks and productivity due to its resolution and brightness, but its color gamut and refresh rate limitations make it less optimal for engineering and design applications or gaming. The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13, with its higher quality display, caters well to professional work involving precise color work thanks to better coverage of professional color gamuts, yet is not ideal for gaming given its modest refresh rate. Both laptops, while suitable for day-to-day use, lack the high refresh rate preferred for smooth gaming experiences, with the ThinkPad being a better choice for color-critical work like photo editing or graphic design.

Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"In the premium ultraportable space, the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 competes with the best of the best, and still manages to shine. The design is an impressive departure from the bland bare-metal laptop that's become so popular in recent years, and the AMD-powered system has performance that's just as impressive. It's a stark alternative to the Intel-based majority, and it stands up well enough to the impressive Apple M2 processor."
