The Acer Aspire 3 15 is less expensive and offers modest performance, suitable for general use and tasks that aren't very demanding. However, if high performance for intensive tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or engineering software is essential and you are prepared to invest more, the Lenovo Legion 7i Pro is far superior with its robust processor and high-end graphics card. Keep in mind, though, the Lenovo is heavier and may offer less portability compared to the more lightweight Acer. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is excellent for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i boasts a significantly more powerful Nvidia RTX 4080 graphics card and a high 240 Hz screen refresh rate which greatly enhances gaming and 3D experiences, compared to the Acer Aspire 3 15's modest AMD Radeon 610M GPU and a standard 60 Hz refresh rate. While the Acer's lower-tier components might suffice for casual gaming, the Lenovo's advanced hardware is tailored for intense, high-fidelity gaming and complex 3D tasks.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is excellent for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 15, with a more modest CPU, less RAM and a basic GPU, offers sufficient performance for lighter engineering and design tasks and benefits from silent operation and better portability due to its lower weight. In contrast, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i's high-end CPU, substantial RAM, and powerful GPU make it exceptionally suited for demanding engineering software and intricate design work, albeit with a sacrifice in portability and potential increase in operating noise due to its greater power and weight.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 15's screen may suffice for tasks like web browsing and document editing where high resolution and brightness make for comfortable general use, but its limited color range impacts precision required in engineering and design, and its slower refresh rate diminishes the immersive experience in fast-paced gaming and 3D applications. The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i provides a sharper and brighter display with an extensive color palette, enhancing detail and accuracy crucial for professional creative work but falls short in delivering the ultra-smooth visuals needed for gaming and 3D due to its lower refresh rate. For general use and professional creative tasks, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is superior, but for gaming and 3D applications that demand fluid motion, neither laptop might be ideal.

Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"Passionate gamers who want to play demanding modern titles with maximum details and don't mind spending the moolah will find the Lenovo Legion 7 Pro to be the right choice. The bright, sharp, and color-accurate 16:10 QHD 240 Hz display makes for an immersive viewing experience. The hardware is housed in a stylish chassis that feels premium and scores well in terms of workmanship and stability. Other aspects such as sound quality, input devices, and connectivity also seem to be near-perfect."
