If you prioritize a touch screen, longer battery life, and prefer a slightly more capable processor for general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15 might be for you, but it comes at a slightly higher cost. The Acer Aspire 3 15 is a more budget-friendly option that still offers decent performance for everyday tasks, though it has less storage space and no touch screen. Both laptops are not ideal for intensive gaming or heavy engineering work, but can handle general and multimedia tasks quite well. The Lenovo also has a slightly better build quality and portability with a higher battery life, making it more suitable if you're frequently on the move. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15" has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, both the Acer Aspire 3 and Lenovo IdeaPad 5 have screens that provide adequate resolution and brightness, making them sufficient for tasks like browsing and video streaming. However, their fair screen quality for engineering and design stems from limited coverage of professional color gamuts, which affects precision in color-critical tasks. In the realm of gaming and 3D, the poor screen quality is primarily due to lower refresh rates, which leads to less fluid motion and slower response times, while also being impacted by their mediocre resolution and panel technology.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15" compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 is convincing due to its long battery life. The device scores points especially with its large battery and long battery runtimes combined with its low consumption. The CPU and GPU perform in the test as one would expect, and in line with what was familiar from the somewhat smaller 14-inch sister model, the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 14."
