The Acer Aspire 3 15 is a budget-friendly option with adequate performance for general use, lower weight for better portability, and a fanless design for silent operation. The HP Omen 15, on the other hand, is priced higher but offers superior performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks, with a much more powerful processor and graphics card. It also has a higher screen refresh rate beneficial for fast-motion visuals, which is great for gaming. The tradeoff is that the HP Omen 15 is heavier, making it less portable than the Acer. Consider the Acer if you're looking for an affordable, everyday laptop, and the HP if you need high performance for specialized tasks and gaming, despite its greater size and cost. Give Feedback

The HP Omen 15 is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The HP Omen 15 is better suited for gaming and 3D applications due to its more powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU and a screen with a higher refresh rate of 144Hz, compared to the Acer Aspire 3 15's AMD Radeon 610M GPU and 60Hz screen. While the Acer may be more cost-effective and offer decent casual gaming capabilities, the HP's superior graphics performance and smoother visuals make it the preferred choice for intensive gaming and 3D tasks.

The HP Omen 15 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3's screen may not render colors as accurately or brim with detail due to its fair resolution and brightness, making it serviceable for daily tasks but less ideal for engineering software or multimedia work where precise color representation is crucial. The HP Omen 15, with its good color coverage and satisfactory resolution, offers a more vivid and accurate visual experience useful for both everyday tasks and professional design work, although it may lack in delivering the high refresh rates required for smooth rendering in gaming and 3D applications. While both devices seem to compromise on the gaming and 3D front, the HP provides a balanced option for a mix of general use and specialized tasks such as engineering and design.

Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"We consider around 1,260 Euros (~$1530) for a Ryzen 7 4800H, a GeForce RTX 2060, a 512 GB SSD and 16 GB dual-channel RAM to be a good offer that appeals to price-conscious gamers. Very high details are rarely a problem in the native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. Buyers will also be spoiled with a top-notch battery life that even beats most other notebook classes. If HP now improves the speed of the WLAN module, the stability of the case and the repeatedly criticized picture quality, the competition will have to dress extra warmly."
