The Acer Aspire 3 15 is less expensive and can handle general use effectively, but its performance won't match the Gigabyte Aorus 7, which has a higher price but much better capabilities for gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering tasks. The Aspire is more portable while the Aorus offers superior specs suitable for more intensive applications, including a larger screen and a more powerful processor and graphics card. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 7 offers superior performance with its more robust processor and double the RAM of the Acer Aspire 3 15, enhancing tasks like multitasking and demanding applications. Although the Aorus 7 has better screen color accuracy and a larger display, it's heavier and has less portability compared to the lighter and more compact Aspire 3, which also falls short with a lower battery life.

The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Gigabyte Aorus 7 offers a superior gaming and 3D experience thanks to its more powerful Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and a much higher screen refresh rate, which provides smoother visuals essential for fast-paced gaming. In contrast, the Acer Aspire 3 15 is fitted with a less powerful AMD Radeon 610M GPU and a standard refresh rate, which are adequate for less demanding titles but may not provide as immersive an experience in more graphic-intensive games or 3D applications.

The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is very good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 offers modest specifications suitable for lighter engineering work with its AMD Ryzen 3 CPU, integrated AMD graphics, and a full HD screen, but it may struggle with more demanding tasks due to its lower RAM and processing power. In contrast, the Gigabyte Aorus 7 is equipped with a more powerful Intel i5 CPU, a dedicated Nvidia RTX graphics card, and a better-quality screen which, along with higher RAM, makes it well-suited for intensive engineering and design applications, although it's less portable and noisier due to its higher performance components.

The Gigabyte Aorus 7 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 has a display that's adequate for daily tasks, offering a decent resolution and brightness, but it falls short in the color gamut needed for engineering and design work, and its refresh rate isn't high enough for smooth gaming or 3D rendering. In contrast, the Gigabyte Aorus 7's screen exhibits higher brightness and resolution, which benefits general and professional use, and while it has a wider color range suitable for engineering and design, the refresh rate is not geared towards the demands of gaming and 3D applications. Ultimately, if you prioritize a vibrant display for creative work, the Aorus 7 is the better option, though neither is ideal for high refresh rate needs of gaming and 3D modeling.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Gigabyte Aorus 7 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is a gaming laptop that is pitched at perhaps the hardest market to get right: the mid-range. So, unlike high-end gaming laptops that can throw the latest and greatest components together in a bid to attract gamers with plenty of money to spend, or budget gaming laptops that can make wise cuts that are justified as long as the price is low enough, mid-rangers like the Gigabyte Aorus 7 have to balance the two."
