Let's consider your choices: If you're looking for affordability and basic functionality for everyday tasks like browsing the web, using office applications, and media consumption, the Acer Aspire 3 15 is a budget-friendly option. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aorus 15P is a more powerful laptop designed for gaming and more demanding applications, such as video editing and 3D modeling. While the Acer will save you money, the Gigabyte will provide superior performance for intensive tasks but is more expensive and likely heavier, making it less portable. Battery life on gaming laptops like the Gigabyte is typically shorter than on basic models like the Acer. Choose the Acer for cost savings and portability or the Gigabyte for high performance at a higher cost with reduced mobility. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 15P is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 3 15, with its modest processor, graphics unit, and lower battery capacity, is adequate for general tasks, but may not handle demanding applications as smoothly, which along with its shorter battery life, leads to its fair assessment for general use. In contrast, the Gigabyte Aorus 15P, equipped with a more powerful CPU, high-end GPU, and larger battery, performs better for a range of activities, including more intensive tasks, which justifies its good rating for general use, but it is less portable and has a shorter battery life compared to its powerful components.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15P is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 is fair for gaming and 3D tasks because it has a lower-end AMD Radeon 610M GPU and a standard 60Hz screen refresh rate, both factors less suited for high-performance gaming. In contrast, the Gigabyte Aorus 15P excels in these areas with its powerful Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU and a much higher 300Hz screen refresh rate, providing smoother visuals and better handling of graphics-intensive games and applications.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15P is very good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 is rated fair for engineering and design due to modest components like an AMD Ryzen 3 CPU, 8GB of RAM, AMD Radeon GPU, and an IPS screen with standard brightness and color coverage, which makes it suitable for basic tasks but could struggle with demanding software. In contrast, the Gigabyte Aorus 15P excels with a powerful Intel i7 CPU, 32GB of RAM, high-end Nvidia RTX GPU, and a screen with better brightness and color coverage, allowing for more intensive engineering and design tasks, though it is marginally heavier and noisier due to increased performance demands.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15P has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
If you're primarily using your laptop for everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming, the Acer Aspire 3's average screen might suffice, with decent resolution and brightness, but the Gigabyte Aorus 15P offers a noticeable improvement in those aspects, enhancing your viewing experience. For engineering and design works that demand high color accuracy, neither laptop hits the mark for professionals, though the Gigabyte's superior color gamut range might make it more suitable for amateur designers. However, for 3D applications and gaming, both laptops are not ideal; despite this, the Gigabyte has a bit of an edge with a better refresh rate and resolution, providing smoother visuals compared to the Acer.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Gigabyte Aorus 15P compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The Aorus 15P is a high-end gaming laptop with fast 360 Hz display. Gaming performance in the Aorus 15P YD is very high thanks to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 installed here. However, with the use of the Intel Core i7-11800H, CPU performance also closes in on the strong competition from AMD. SSD performance is excellent as well, and it leaves no room for criticism. Thanks to the built-in Intel Core i7-11800H, the system performance of the Aorus 15P YD increases significantly."
