Consider the Acer Aspire 3 15 if you prioritize affordability and longer battery life for basic tasks such as web browsing, word processing, and streaming video. It's lighter for better portability. On the other hand, if high-performance tasks such as gaming, 3D rendering, or intensive engineering software are important and you're willing to invest more, the Gigabyte Aorus 15 offers a much more powerful CPU and GPU as well as more RAM and storage, but it has shorter battery life and is heavier, making it less portable. Both laptops have a 15.6-inch display, but the Gigabyte Aorus 15 offers a higher resolution screen which is better for detail-oriented work. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 15 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 provides adequate clarity, resolution, and brightness for everyday tasks, but its average color range and modest screen specifications may not fully satisfy engineering and design professionals who require precise color accuracy. The Gigabyte Aorus 15 boasts a display with higher resolution and brighter output, enhancing general and professional use, but its subpar refresh rate could detract from the smooth visuals demanded by gaming and 3D applications. Despite both laptops falling short for gaming due to their insufficient refresh rates, the Gigabyte Aorus 15 offers a more vibrant and detailed visual experience for both general users and professionals in engineering and design.

Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15 is a power-hungry gaming beast. The Aorus 15 is designed to run games at QHD and high to max settings. But it also cuts a good figure in other demanding applications such as video editing and rendering. This is made possible by the Core i7 12700H and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop inside the machine. A lightning-fast PCIe 4.0 SSD (1 TB) allows for short loading times."
