When choosing between the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Dell Inspiron 15 3530, consider that while the Acer is more affordable, it has a lower storage capacity, less RAM, and a less powerful processor compared to the Dell. The Dell also offers better graphics, a faster screen refresh rate for smoother visuals, and is slightly lighter for enhanced portability, though it comes at a higher cost. If your usage involves more intensive tasks like editing or gaming that benefit from better performance and graphics, the Dell could be worth the extra expense. Otherwise, for general everyday tasks, the Acer should suffice at a more attractive price point. Give Feedback

The Dell Inspiron 15 3530 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, both the Acer Aspire 3 and Dell Inspiron 15 have adequate resolution and brightness, but their panel types may not offer the most vibrant colors or viewing angles, thus making them just fair for day-to-day tasks. When it comes to engineering and design, while these laptops provide acceptable screen quality, they fall short in displaying the full spectrum of colors required by professionals due to limited color gamut coverage. For gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rates on both models may result in less fluid motion and responsiveness, which, alongside their moderate resolution and panel quality, leads to a less than ideal experience for these high-speed visual tasks.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Dell Inspiron 15 3530 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
