The Acer Aspire 3 15 is generally more budget-friendly and offers a larger screen for comfortable viewing, making it suitable for everyday tasks such as web browsing, office applications, and streaming. However, the larger size may affect its portability. The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus, on the other hand, is typically priced higher due to its more powerful hardware, which is better suited for intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming. It also tends to have a more compact build, making it easier to carry around, but that comes with a smaller screen size. Battery life also varies, with the higher performance of the Dell potentially leading to shorter battery duration compared to the Acer. Your choice should be based on balancing the importance of performance, screen size, portability, and battery life with your specific needs and budget. Give Feedback

The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is only fair.
The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus offers better performance in general use due to its superior CPU, double the RAM, higher-resolution screen, and a larger storage capacity compared to the Acer Aspire 3 15. While the Acer is lighter and slightly better in battery life, its lower screen quality, weaker CPU, and less RAM make it less suitable for more demanding tasks, which is why it's rated lower for general use.

The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3's display may have the adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks but fails to meet higher standards required for detailed engineering work or the fast refresh rates needed for smooth gaming experiences. The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus offers a sharper image and more vibrant colors suited for more demanding tasks like engineering and design due to better color coverage, yet still lacks the high refresh rate gamers look for to avoid motion blur and enjoy fluid visuals. Hence, while the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus stands out for productivity and creative work, both laptops would fall short for a seamless gaming experience due to insufficient refresh rates.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is for power users on a budget. If you're looking to maximize CPU and GPU performance on your next 14-inch laptop, then consider the pricier Razer Blade 14 or Asus Zephyrus G14. If you're looking for a thin-and-light 14-inch Ultrabook, then the Asus Zenbook 14 or LG Gram 14 may be better options. For the best of both worlds, however, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7420 rides a fine line between extreme performance and portability while keeping prices at reasonable levels. Frequent travelers who rely on performance beyond what the Core U-series and integrated graphics series can offer will find the Dell to be a solid solution."
