Choosing between the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 depends on your needs and budget. The Acer is less expensive, but it offers less storage and a less powerful processor. It is ideal for budget-conscious users who need a laptop for general tasks. The Dell, on the other hand, costs more but provides more storage, a better processor, and is more suitable for intensive tasks like 3D rendering and machine learning. It also has a longer battery life. If portability is important, the Dell is lighter and thus easier to carry around. If your work requires a number pad, note that only the Acer has one. Give Feedback

For general use, both the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 offer screens with suitable resolution and brightness, ensuring comfortable viewing for everyday tasks but may lack the exceptional sharpness or high brightness some users seek. How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"A slim chassis, an acceptable weight (1.6 kg) and a real-world battery life of almost 13 hours turn the Inspiron into a mobile companion. Good: The battery can not only be charged using Dell's proprietary power adapter, but also with a universal USB-C power adapter (min. 45 watts). Office and Internet applications are handled by the built-in combination of Ryzen 5 5625U APU and 16 GB of RAM just as easily as modest computer games. Heat and noise development are generally okay, but the laptop should work a bit quieter under full load."
