If your priority is higher performance for tasks such as engineering or 3D modeling, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 offers a more powerful processor and graphics, along with more storage and memory, albeit at a higher cost. On the other hand, the Acer Aspire 3 15 provides solid performance for general use at a budget-friendly price, with adequate storage and memory for everyday tasks. Both laptops have similar battery life, screen size and resolution, and portability; the ASUS edges forward with marginally better build quality and a backlit keyboard. Neither laptop is especially suited for intensive gaming, but the ASUS might handle lighter games better due to its superior graphics capabilities. Give Feedback

The ASUS Vivobook S 15 is only fair for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 and the ASUS Vivobook S 15 are considered fair for gaming and 3D because both have GPUs that are adequate for moderate gaming and 3D work but not ideal for high-end or intensive tasks; both also have standard screen refresh rates, which are suitable for casual gaming but will lack the smoothness preferred in competitive gaming scenarios. The ASUS has a more robust CPU and offers a bit more screen quality, which may help in more demanding tasks, while the Acer appears slightly less capable in these areas.

The ASUS Vivobook S 15 is good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook S 15 outshines the Acer Aspire 3 15 in engineering and design use primarily because it has a more powerful processor and graphics unit, along with double the amount of RAM, which are all crucial for demanding software applications. While both laptops have similar screen quality, the superior performance components of the ASUS make it more suitable for intensive tasks, though it may come at a higher cost and slightly less portability due to its increased features and capabilities.

The ASUS Vivobook S 15 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for content creation, and software development.
For general use, both the Acer Aspire 3 15 and ASUS Vivobook S 15 have displays that are adequate in resolution and brightness, yet neither standout for exceptional clarity or color vibrancy, which are important for tasks like browsing and video streaming. When it comes to engineering and design, the fair screen quality is due to both laptops having reasonable color reproduction, but they lack the wider color gamuts required by professionals for highly accurate color work. Lastly, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short because they don't offer the high refresh rates needed for smooth motion, nor do they meet the higher resolution and panel type standards for an immersive visual experience.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the ASUS Vivobook S 15 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"Internals make Asus VivoBook S15 laptop a compelling option. The Asus multimedia laptop may look rather below-average with its modest black chassis, lack of a dedicated GPU, limited RAM and meagre port selection without Thunderbolt support. But your impression of the device will start changing once you set your eyes on its high-contrast OLED capable of producing deep blacks and highly accurate colours. And your opinion will change completely when the VivoBook is switched on. The AMD CPU can effortlessly keep up with powerful rivals from Intel. The integrated Radeon graphics blows away Intel's iGPU when it comes to graphics workloads such as rendering and simpler games."
