The Acer Aspire 3 15 is a more affordable option with a larger 15.6-inch screen, a number pad on the keyboard, and a longer battery life which makes it suitable for general use and productivity tasks. If you prioritize a higher storage capacity, a slightly better processor performance for engineering and 3D tasks, and a more compact, lighter design for greater portability, the ASUS Vivobook 14 might be the better option despite being a bit pricier. Neither laptop is ideal for intensive gaming or heavy machine learning tasks due to their non-specialized GPUs. Give Feedback

The Acer Aspire 3 15 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 14 for software development, and content creation.
When considering the Acer Aspire 3 and the ASUS Vivobook 14 for general use, both offer screens that are fine for everyday tasks, but their panel type, resolution, and brightness levels may not stand out for more demanding visual experiences. For engineering and design work, the same displays may lack the wider color gamuts like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB required for precise color work. Meanwhile, for gaming and 3D visualization, the lower refresh rates of these laptops could hinder smooth motion rendering, even though resolution and panel type are satisfactory for moderate use.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the ASUS Vivobook 14 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
