If you need a budget-friendly option for everyday tasks and prefer longer battery life and portability, the Acer Aspire 3 15 is a good choice. However, if you require a high-performance machine with advanced graphics for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 is better suited despite its higher price and reduced battery life. Keep in mind that the ASUS has a larger screen size and is heavier, making it less portable than the Acer. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 offers a more manageable size and weight for carrying around, but its lower RAM and less powerful processor make it less suitable for demanding tasks compared to the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17, which boasts a top-tier CPU and GPU, more RAM, and a larger, higher-quality screen, but has reduced battery life and portability due to its larger size and weight.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 generally has a lower-tier GPU and standard screen refresh rate, which makes it less ideal for smooth, high-performance gaming and 3D tasks, whereas the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 is equipped with a high-end GPU and a higher refresh rate screen, providing a more immersive and responsive experience for gaming and 3D applications. The CPU and screen quality of the Acer are decent for everyday use but don't match the superior processing power and vibrant display offered by the ASUS, which further enhance gaming and content creation.

"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 laptop review: liquid metal 7 nm AMD Zen 3 is stunning. The raw performance increase is absolutely bonkers if you're upgrading from a laptop on Coffee Lake-H or older. The 45 W Ryzen 9 5900HX is neck-to-neck with the thicker, heavier, and hotter Schenker Ultra 17 running on a desktop-class Core i9-11900K despite their wide TDP differences. The performance-per-watt advantages can make Intel Rocket Lake feel like a last generation platform at times. As for the chassis itself, it's a huge light show with RGB LEDs on almost all sides of the system."
