The Acer Aspire 3 15 is significantly less expensive and offers a lightweight design with a quieter operation, making it suitable for basic computing needs and portability. In contrast, the ASUS ROG Flow X16, while more expensive, provides superior processing power, better graphics, a higher-resolution and touch-enabled display, and is better suited for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering applications. However, it has a shorter battery life and is slightly heavier, which may affect portability. Your choice should depend on the balance between performance needs and budget constraints, as well as the importance of portability and battery life in your daily use. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Flow X16 is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The ASUS ROG Flow X16 is better for gaming and 3D due to its more powerful Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU, which greatly surpasses the Acer Aspire 3 15's AMD Radeon 610M in performance, and its higher screen refresh rate which provides smoother on-screen motion. Additionally, the ASUS's superior screen quality, with better resolution and color accuracy, makes it more suitable for visually intensive tasks compared to the Acer.

The ASUS ROG Flow X16 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3's screen, while adequate for tasks like browsing and document editing, lacks the resolution and brightness that can be found in higher-end screens like those on the ASUS ROG Flow X16, which offers sharp, bright visuals for an enhanced general-use experience. For engineering and design work, the ASUS stands out with its superior color accuracy and wider color gamut coverage, which ensures that designers see true-to-life colors and fine details, aspects the Aspire 3's display does not capture as well. However, both laptops fall short for 3D gaming due to their lower refresh rates, which can't deliver the smooth motion and responsiveness avid gamers look for in a gaming laptop.

Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"Above all else, the Asus ROG Flow X16 is one thing - versatile! It is a thin, mobile work device, it's a 2-in-1, tablet, a powerful workstation and even a gaming PC. But something even more surprising: It does all of these things really well without making any big blunders. It's anything but a lazy compromise. Because, despite its compact dimensions and 2-in-1 functionality, the hardware isn't throttled and boasts, at least in turbo mode, above-average performance."
