Choosing between the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Apple MacBook Air (2022) comes down to your preferences and needs. If you're seeking a more affordable option, the Acer Aspire might suit you; however, it has less storage and its performance is less suited for intensive tasks such as engineering software or 3D modeling. The MacBook Air is higher in price but offers better performance, more storage, a higher-resolution display, and longer battery life. It is also lighter, which makes it more portable. The Acer does include a larger screen, which might be beneficial for multitasking or if you prefer a bigger display. The Acer runs Windows while the MacBook Air runs MacOS, so consider which operating system you're more comfortable with. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Air has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 provides an adequate viewing experience for everyday tasks, but its limited color range and lower resolution might not meet the precision required for engineering and design work. The MacBook Air shines with its higher resolution and wider color gamut, offering clarity and color accuracy that's beneficial for professional creative work, yet neither are suited for 3D applications due to their standard refresh rates, which can't deliver the smooth visuals required by high-frame-rate gaming or intensive 3D rendering.

Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
