The Acer Aspire 3 14, with its AMD Ryzen processor and Radeon GPU, is better priced for budget-conscious buyers. It's lighter and has a higher battery life, making it more portable and suitable for on-the-go use with general tasks. Despite a smaller screen, it maintains a full HD resolution. The Gateway 15.6" laptop, however, has a more powerful Intel i5 processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics, and double the RAM, enhancing its performance for more demanding 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks. Yet, it's heavier and potentially less suitable for frequent travel. Neither laptop is tailored for intensive gaming. Give Feedback

The Acer Aspire 3 14 has a better screen than the Gateway 15.6" for software development, and content creation.
The Acer Aspire 3 14 and Gateway 15.6" have fair screen quality for general use because their panel types, resolutions, and brightness levels are adequate for typical tasks like browsing and video streaming, but they don't excel in these areas. For engineering and design, their fair rating comes from an acceptable display of colors necessary for precise work, but they lack the wide color gamuts that professionals look for in top-tier screens. When it comes to gaming and 3D, they fall short with poor screen quality as they have lower refresh rates and only moderate resolution and panel type, which are less than ideal for the fast-paced visuals and detailed environments expected by gamers and 3D professionals.

How the Acer Aspire 3 14 and the Gateway 15.6" compare to other laptops
"Some concessions have to be made when shopping for a budget laptop. Walmart's Gateway Ultra Slim laptops succeeds on the affordability front and delivers serviceable specs and good battery life, though it's hard to claim it's the best (or even particularly good) at any particular aspect. Its build quality, especially the touchpad, is mediocre, and its performance is decent but doesn't lead the way. The Gateway does undercut the cost of some competitors and offers ample storage with good connectivity, so it's not to be ignored."
