The Acer Aspire 1 is much less expensive than the MSI Prestige 15 and offers simplicity for basic tasks with adequate general use performance, but it has lower storage, RAM, and a less powerful processor, which may not be suitable for intensive applications or multitasking. Its battery life is average, and it is decently portable. On the other hand, the MSI Prestige 15, while more expensive, provides significantly better performance for 3D, machine learning, and engineering tasks thanks to its more capable processor and dedicated graphics card. It also has a higher storage capacity and RAM, better battery life, and a higher quality display, making it better suited for professional and creative work; however, it is a bit heavier, which may affect portability. CNET

Joshua Goldman | May 2020
"There are no surprises and nothing's extraordinary here but this laptop's price. For those in need of an inexpensive Windows laptop for undemanding tasks, though, the Acer Aspire 1 offers just enough to get the basics done and a larger screen to do them on."

NotebookCheck

Mario Petzold | December 2022
"The MSI Prestige 15 offers a dazzling 4K image quality, and solid performance. The MSI Prestige 15 appears to consistently implement the guiding principle of throttling the solid and efficient hardware to such an extent that content creation succeeds perfectly. Performance-hungry tasks, on the other hand, are slowed down a little by the reduced power consumption. Conversely, this means that the case remains relatively cool and the dual fan subdued. The battery life also benefits somewhat. So the losses aren't really dramatic because full performance is still available for short bursts."
