Choosing between the Acer Aspire 1 and the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 depends on your priorities. The Acer is a budget-friendly option with basic specifications, suitable for general use such as web browsing and document editing. It has limited storage and performance capabilities, making it less suitable for intensive tasks. In contrast, the Surface Laptop Studio 2 is a premium device with high storage capacity, substantial memory, and powerful processing suitable for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering software. It also boasts a high-quality display with touch support. However, it comes at a higher price point. If portability and battery life are concerns, both models offer reasonable portability and average battery life, but these may decrease with heavy use, especially on the more powerful Surface Laptop Studio 2. CNET

Joshua Goldman | May 2020
"There are no surprises and nothing's extraordinary here but this laptop's price. For those in need of an inexpensive Windows laptop for undemanding tasks, though, the Acer Aspire 1 offers just enough to get the basics done and a larger screen to do them on."

NotebookCheck

Andreas Osthoff | March 2022
"The new Surface Laptop Studio with its foldable display is supposed to replace the old Surface Book and the overall impression is good after our review. The build quality and the materials are top-notch, the performance utilization of the two components is solid and the device does not show any major flaws in terms of display or speakers, either. The folding mechanism leaves a sold impression as well, but it remains to be seen how it will hold up over the years. The so-called presentation mode is also not ideal since it covers the whole keyboard."
