Choosing between the Acer Aspire 1 and the Apple MacBook Pro 13 is a matter of budget and needs. The Acer Aspire 1 is much less costly and suitable for basic tasks like web browsing and document editing, with a larger screen but lower overall build quality and performance. On the other hand, the MacBook Pro 13 offers higher performance, better build quality, and longer battery life, making it ideal for more demanding applications like video editing and programming. However, it comes at a significantly higher price. The MacBook Pro is less heavy and has a higher-resolution screen, whereas the Acer is more budget-friendly and still meets everyday computing needs. The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 1 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 1 has less RAM and a lower-end CPU compared to the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022), which has double the RAM and a more powerful proprietary Apple processor, leading to slower performance in general use tasks. Additionally, the MacBook Pro offers a higher resolution and brighter IPS display versus the Acer's TN panel, contributing to better screen quality, alongside longer battery life and a higher build quality, making the MacBook better suited for more demanding general use.

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is only fair for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 1 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 1 is not ideal for gaming or 3D because it comes with an Intel Celeron integrated GPU, which is considerably less powerful than dedicated gaming GPUs and provides only basic visual performance. On the other hand, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is somewhat better for 3D tasks since it has a more capable Apple M2 chip with a 10-core GPU, offering improved graphics processing; however, its potential for gaming is limited by the fact that many popular games are not compatible with macOS.

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 1 for general use, AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 1's display lacks the clarity, color accuracy, and brightness that both general and professional users, such as engineers and designers, typically look for, resulting in a viewing experience that doesn't shine in any particular area. The Apple MacBook Pro 13, on the other hand, boasts a high-resolution, bright display that accurately represents a wide range of colors, making it excellent for general use and detailed engineering work. However, while this MacBook excels in display fidelity, it falls short for 3D tasks that require high refresh rates, which are essential for smooth motion and rendering, a feature that the MacBook Pro lacks.

"There are no surprises and nothing's extraordinary here but this laptop's price. For those in need of an inexpensive Windows laptop for undemanding tasks, though, the Acer Aspire 1 offers just enough to get the basics done and a larger screen to do them on."
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
