If you prioritize overall sound quality and you'll mostly use your headphones for calls or meetings, the Turtle Beach Recon 70 is a strong choice due to its high comfort level and excellent microphone quality. However, for active noise cancelling, wireless convenience, and better control features, the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 would be more suitable, especially for use during exercise or air travel. The Sennheisers are also better optimized for both Android and Apple devices, offering app equalizer and controls customization. The tradeoffs here are that they have lower ratings for gaming, TV, and video due to latency issues, whereas the Turtle Beaches excel in these areas but are wired and lack the ancillary features of the Sennheisers. What HiFi?

What HiFi? | November 2022
"They are more comfortable and nicer to use than their predecessors, battery life is better and noise-cancelling is now included as part of the package. They’re easy to live with and you could happily listen to them for hours on end without reaching for the pause button. If your budget allows, your ears will be handsomely rewarded."

Sound Guys

Sam Moore | September 2022
"There aren’t many considerations to make here. The Turtle Beach Recon 70 sounds decent, offers solid chat audio, feels good to wear over long periods, and it works everywhere. If you’re in the market for a simple plug-and-play option, you could do a whole lot worse (and spend a whole lot more money). Regardless, if getting something cheap that works well is the only thing you care about, this is a great option."
