For an immersive music experience, the Thieaudio Monarch Mk II excels with superior overall sound quality, especially if price is not a primary concern. If you require a microphone for clear communication, the Rode NTH-100M is the top choice as it comes with a boom mic, and it’s also considerably more affordable. The Rode set offers great comfort, sturdy build, and is highly suited for gaming as well as calls and meetings, while the Thieaudio set provides a better sound experience for music and TV. Neither model has wireless capabilities, and they both have detachable cables for added convenience. Consider your primary use—whether it's music, gaming, or calls—and choose accordingly; if cost is crucial, Rode may be the way to go, if not, and you prioritize sound for music and TV, Thieaudio could be better despite the higher price. Audiophile On | August 2021
"No other earphone I have listened to in the past 12 months has given me as much joy as the Thieaduio Monarch MKII. One of those IEMs will make you question where we can go from here. The sound is jaw-dropping, leaving you wanting more and more. It makes you want to run through your entire music library and reevaluate. It makes you not feel bad about paying full price for them, especially in a hobby where buyers' remorse is genuine. For me, it's top tier, rivaled by a few but not surpassed."
