If budget is a concern and you're interested in gaming, the Razer Kraken's excellent microphone and very good build quality make it a suitable choice, especially given it's a budget-priced option with very good gaming and TV/video performance. However, it's not ideal for exercise and has poor portability. On the other hand, if superior sound quality is a priority and you don't mind investing in a premium-priced product, the Sennheiser IE600 could be your pick, with its best-in-class overall sound quality and excellent score for use with TV and videos. Still, it has poor mic quality and is not recommended for calls or gaming. Both lack wireless capabilities, so if freedom from cables is important, you might want to consider other options. "Generally the Kraken is a very comfortable headset and there’s nothing that really identifies it as anything else. All in, the Kraken performed exactly as I’d expect a premium, designated gaming headset to perform: performing well in game audio, though not quite with the same quality of those headsets further up the price scale."
"If you've got the bucks, the Sennheiser IE 600 is a nice, upscale set of in-ear monitors made of a lightweight metal with an unusual texture. It comes with a suite of extras, and performs well at virtually every task."
