If saving money is a priority and you mainly focus on gaming or TV and video, the original Razer Kraken would be a good choice, as it has excellent mic quality and very good ratings for gaming and TV. However, if you are looking for the latest technology with virtual surround sound and don't mind spending a bit more, the Razer Kraken V3 could enhance your experience. Both have a similar comfort level and overall sound quality, but neither is particularly great for outdoor use or exercise due to their size and lack of sweat or dust resistance. Neither option is wireless, so if that's a dealbreaker, you may want to consider other models. Give Feedback

PC Gamer

Rob Dwiar | March 2019
"Generally the Kraken is a very comfortable headset and there’s nothing that really identifies it as anything else. All in, the Kraken performed exactly as I’d expect a premium, designated gaming headset to perform: performing well in game audio, though not quite with the same quality of those headsets further up the price scale."

Soundguys

Sam Smart | November 2022
"This Razer Kraken V3 is a great headset for gamers who want comfort, surround sound, and software customization for a reasonable price. It's primarily a headset for PC gamers since THX Spatial audio is only supported on Windows. If you want something more multifaceted for multiple systems, this won't be an ideal headset for you. Luckily, there are plenty of competent Kraken V3 alternatives available to you."
