If sound quality and a booming mic are your priorities, especially for gaming and calls, the Turtle Beach Recon 70 headphones excel. However, they lack wireless functionality and are less portable. On the other hand, the JBL Vibe Beam earbuds, being wireless, are more suited for on-the-go use and exercise, as well as being sweatproof. They offer similar build quality and better controls, but have lesser overall sound quality and microphone performance compared to the Recon 70. If budget is a primary concern, the JBLs are somewhat less expensive and provide a versatile, travel-friendly option that's still good for everyday use. Give Feedback

Headphone Dungeon

LaFonda | April 2023
"The Vibe Beam earbuds may not be a sleek as other earbuds in the price range, such as the equally priced Vibe Buds, but they sound great, have a long battery life, and come with an equalizer. And if you just need a solid pair if earbuds to get you through your commute, these will do the trick. I have no complaints here."

Sound Guys

Sam Moore | September 2022
"There aren’t many considerations to make here. The Turtle Beach Recon 70 sounds decent, offers solid chat audio, feels good to wear over long periods, and it works everywhere. If you’re in the market for a simple plug-and-play option, you could do a whole lot worse (and spend a whole lot more money). Regardless, if getting something cheap that works well is the only thing you care about, this is a great option."
