If active noise cancelling and better build quality are top priorities, along with the versatility to use them wirelessly or with a cable, then the JBL Live 670NC would be a good choice despite costing more. However, keep in mind they have low portability and are not optimal for exercise use. The Skullcandy Dime, being more budget-friendly, is very portable, and sweatproof certified makes it suitable for exercise, although they lack active noise cancelling and may not be as durable. JBL is an American audio equipment manufacturer. Owned by Harman International which is, itself, owned by Samsung Electronics. JBL markets a wide array of monitoring speakers, professional headphones and consumer market headphones and earbuds. It was founded in 1946 by James Bullough Lansing (whose initials give the company its name) and has become one of the most prolific audio companies ever. Their products were responsible for audio during the 1969 Woodstock Festival.
