If you're looking for exceptional sound quality and a wide soundstage for home listening, the HifiMan Edition XS is recommended, but keep in mind they aren't suited for calls and require a dedicated amplifier for best performance. They're also open-back, which means they leak sound and don't isolate noise well, making them poor for noisy environments or commuting. Conversely, the JBL Tune 660NC offers good noise isolation with active noise cancelling, are more portable, have a foldable design, and far better battery life, making them suitable for travel and casual use, but their overall sound quality won't match that of the HifiMans. Eric D Hieger | January 2023
"The Edition XS easily compete with headphones in their price range with a very high price-to-performance ratio. The XS are an amazing value and offer performance not far off from headphones more than twice their cost. These will be a mind-blowing revelation for enthusiasts and music lovers who have only heard standard big-brand mainstream headphones."

SoundGuys

Chase Bernath | April 2023
"The JBL Tune 660NC is the best value you can get from a set of on-ear headphones. There's no companion app so you don't get many additional features, but everything the JBL Tune 660NC sets out to do, it does well. At this price, the JBL Tune 660NC is an easy recommendation for on-ear headphone lovers"
