The Grado GT220 earbuds are wireless, support AAC for better sound quality on Apple devices, and are sweatproof, making them a good choice for exercise and everyday use. They are also more affordable. In contrast, the Thieaudio Monarch Mk II earbuds, while more expensive, offer superior overall and music sound quality with a unique driver setup that includes balanced armature, dynamic, and electrostatic drivers. They are wired, which could suggest lower latency for activities like TV watching and gaming, but they lack a microphone for calls. If wireless convenience and budget are priorities, choose the Grado GT220. If sound quality is paramount and you don't mind wires or a higher price, the Monarch Mk II is the better option. How the Grado GT220 and the Thieaudio Monarch Mk II compare to other earbuds and headphones
"With its superb and functional interface and its highly satisfying imaging, Grado has shown a new talent for delivering a solid true wireless system, and with future improvements, has the potential to really be one of the best."
"No other earphone I have listened to in the past 12 months has given me as much joy as the Thieaduio Monarch MKII. One of those IEMs will make you question where we can go from here. The sound is jaw-dropping, leaving you wanting more and more. It makes you want to run through your entire music library and reevaluate. It makes you not feel bad about paying full price for them, especially in a hobby where buyers' remorse is genuine. For me, it's top tier, rivaled by a few but not surpassed."
