If you prioritize superb sound isolation and detailed audio for music listening, the Etymotic ER4XR may be your choice, keeping in mind they come with a higher price and a basic feature set; they're also less comfortable for long durations. Whereas, if you're seeking wireless convenience, longer battery life, and features like active noise cancelling and a better microphone, the JBL Live 770NC would suit you better, along with added comfort and durability for various activities, including air travel. The JBLs, however, may not provide the same level of sound precision as the Etymotics, especially for critical listening. Give Feedback

"The Etymotic ER4XRs' top qualities are the detail and definition of the midrange, rewarding the closest listening. While the soundstage is large rather than gigantic, the excellent separation and spatial precision mean you can dive deep into music just as much as when wearing a pair of full-size open-backed headphones."
