If you prioritize excellent sound quality and noise isolation in a wired earbud form, the Etymotic ER2SE might be your preference; however, these are less comfortable for long sessions and lack features like wireless connectivity and a microphone for calls. On the other hand, the JBL Tune 660NC headphones offer good sound, the convenience of wireless use, active noise cancelling, and a much longer battery life, but they may not match the Etymotic's sound fidelity, and their on-ear design could be less comfortable for some. Consider the JBLs if you need a versatile, portable headset with decent sound and active noise cancelling for travel or office use at a slightly lower cost. Give Feedback

Sound Guys

Lily Katz | April 2022
"Etymotic isn’t playing around: it takes audio seriously and has mastered the art of the noise-isolation earphone. Sure, the fit of the earbuds looks silly but it’s a signature Etymotic thing and could be considered charming by some. If you’re looking for best-in-class audio for a realistic price, the ER2SE is it."

Chase Bernath | April 2023
"The JBL Tune 660NC is the best value you can get from a set of on-ear headphones. There's no companion app so you don't get many additional features, but everything the JBL Tune 660NC sets out to do, it does well. At this price, the JBL Tune 660NC is an easy recommendation for on-ear headphone lovers"
