The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds offer superior overall sound quality, active noise cancelling, and a sweatproof design, which makes them excellent for air travel, exercise, and an immersive music experience. They also support a low latency codec, beneficial for video content, and come with an app that allows equalizer and controls customization. However, they are at a premium price. In contrast, Sennheiser CX300S are a more budget-friendly option with decent sound quality, but they lack active noise cancelling, wireless capability, and app support, making them less versatile for different environments and use cases, yet they are more portable due to their smaller size and provide a wired connection which some may prefer for reliability. Soundguys

Christian Thomas | October 2023
"Bose put the time in to fix the major issues with the previous earbuds, and the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are very befitting of its price point. While you might be tempted to save a few bucks and go with the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II on sale, fight the urge. There are enough upgrades here to justify the newer model."

Major HiFi

"Sennheiser offers impressive bang for your buck when it comes to the CX 300S. Built like a tank and sounding surprisingly good for such a budget-minded earphone, the CX 300S out-classes many of its would-be competitors. Functional but beautiful, it’s the perfect in-ear listening solution for anyone who wants to hear everything and look good doing it."
