If you're invested in the Apple ecosystem, the Beats Fit Pro would offer better integration with features like adaptive sound, spatial audio, and lower latency, which are optimal for various activities, including exercise, given their sweatproof certification and wingtips for secure fit. Despite their higher price, they also come with active noise cancelling for better noise isolation, which is beneficial for air travel or noisy environments. On the other hand, the Moondrop Nekocake, while less expensive, lacks active noise cancelling and is not optimized for exercise as they aren't sweatproof. However, they do offer app controls customization and an equalizer to adjust the sound to your liking, making them a budget-friendly option if these features appeal to you and active noise cancelling or Apple-specific features are less important. SoundGuys

Lili Katz | January 2024
"The Beats Fit Pro is just as easy to use with an Android device as it is with an iPhone. It seems Apple-owned Beats is trying to appeal to a wider market, and it works. The Fit Pro fits like a pro with the ear tip fit test and multiple ear tips. Sound quality is sure to please most athletes, but the Fit Pro is just at home in the office as it is in the gym. The main factor holding the Beats Fit Pro back from gold is the price."

Headphonics

"What sets the Nekocake apart from its competition at this price point is the Moondrop Link app that allows the user to change the tonal balance of the Nekocake. This makes sure that it’s versatile enough to suit different sonic preferences while allowing some customization of controls."

About Beats

Beats is an American, consumer-focused, audio products manufacturer. Founded originally by American rapper and producer Dr Dre, the company is now a subsidiary of Apple. Beats sells a wide range of audio products, including several models of headphones, earbuds and speakers as well as full car audio systems.

About Moondrop

Moondrop is a Chinese brand of smart audio equipment, portable audio players, earbuds and headphones started in 2015. During the last few years they have become one of the major players in what is lovingly referred to as the Chi-fi market, the bulk of Chinese companies that have managed to actually compete with the western manufacturers in both prices and superior quality. Products such as the Blessing II, Chu and Kato are among the most popular offerings of the brand, more popular among those users that wish for good quality audio that won't break the bank. Besides audio, the brand also works in what they call the ACGN field (Animation, Comics, Games and Short Novels).
