If you prioritize call quality and gaming, the Bang and Olufsen Beoplay EX may be the better choice as they offer good microphone quality and low latency. However, for those who value effective noise isolation and are cost-conscious, the Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds, while less expensive, provide excellent noise isolation but poor mic quality, making them less ideal for calls. The Bose earbuds also are not the best choice for gaming due to higher latency. For frequent flyers, the Bose's superior noise isolation might be preferable, despite being heavier and offering slightly less portability compared to the Bang and Olufsen. Both have a premium build quality, but if optimizing for Android or Apple devices is important, the Bang and Olufsen earbuds have dedicated optimizations, whereas the Bose earbuds do not discriminate between platforms. "If you’ve wanted truly wireless headphones, but couldn’t pick them up because they sound terrible, these will be the headphones that win you over. If you’re the kind of person who would consider spending $400 on headphones, these are the right truly wireless headphones for you."

Sound Guys

Lily Katz | March 2023
"The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds is a great do-it-all option for anyone, so long as you can afford it. This is a great alternative to the Apple AirPods Pro and Sony WF-1000XM4. You can choose the degree of noise canceling, and enjoy premium features like automatic ear-detection. These earbuds merit an IPX4 rating, making them a fine workout companion."

Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen created the first AC radio in 1925 and went on to develop televisions, telephones and, of course, headphones and loudspeakers. Today, they are partnered with several companies, like Audi, BMW and Aston Martin, to provide very high-quality audio solutions.

About Bose

Founded in 1964 by Amar Bose with the goal of creating a speaker system that could accurately recreate the sound of a concert hall, Bose has become one of the most prominent players in the modern consumer audio market due to the premium feel of their products and their wide brand recognition.
