If you prioritize overall sound quality for music listening in quiet environments and don't mind a wired connection, the Audio Technica M50x offers very good sound and comfort. However, they lack a microphone for calls, active noise cancelling, and are not suitable for exercise. Conversely, the Beats Fit Pro are wireless earbuds that provide very good sound quality, active noise cancelling, and are sweatproof, making them ideal for sports, travel, and use in noisy environments. They also have a built-in microphone for calls, but their soundstage is not as good as the M50x, and they are not optimal for critical listening. Give Feedback

Sound Guys

Jasper Lastoria | October 2022
"Good sound is timeless. It doesn’t matter that a number of years have passed since the ATH-M50x came out because it still works well. Since this wired headset doesn’t rely on batteries or Bluetooth technology, it’s bound to outlast its wireless counterparts. The no-nonsense performance, fit, and comfort of the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x make it worth picking up."

SoundGuys

Lili Katz | January 2024
"The Beats Fit Pro is just as easy to use with an Android device as it is with an iPhone. It seems Apple-owned Beats is trying to appeal to a wider market, and it works. The Fit Pro fits like a pro with the ear tip fit test and multiple ear tips. Sound quality is sure to please most athletes, but the Fit Pro is just at home in the office as it is in the gym. The main factor holding the Beats Fit Pro back from gold is the price."
