If you prioritize calls and meetings or if you prefer true wireless convenience with a strong battery life, the Audio Technica ATH-TWX7 would be a better fit; they also feature LDAC codec for high-quality audio over Bluetooth, and they have a low latency mode for better sync with visuals. On the other hand, the Sony WH-1000XM5 offers superior noise cancellation, longer battery life during continuous use, and is foldable for easier storage. The Sony headphones also support 360 Reality Audio through certain apps, which could enhance your listening experience if you have compatible content. Keep in mind that the Sonys are more expensive, but they might be a worthy investment if active noise cancelling and longer wear times are top priorities for you. Give Feedback

Engadget

Billy Steele | January 2024
"There’s plenty to like about the ATH-TWX7. A robust set of features brings a lot of convenience to your day. But a few of those tools could still use some fine-tuning and the lack of automatic pausing in 2024 is a head scratcher. Still, the audio is mostly good, and transparency mode is better than most. Add in the solid call quality and the in-app voice test and the ATH-TWX7 are a worthy consideration, especially at this price. Too bad it falls short of being a more complete package some of the competition offers for a slightly larger investment."

"The Sony WH-1000XM5 are the best Sony Bluetooth headphones so far and one of the most well-rounded Bluetooth headphones around. Look no further if you need class-leading ANC with a mostly inoffensive sound signature. Just be ready to pony up the price premium."
