If you prioritize call quality and need earbuds optimized for various activities including exercise, the Audio Technica ATH-TWX7 with its excellent microphone and sweatproof certification is a solid choice; it also supports LDAC for higher quality audio over Bluetooth and has a low latency mode for better sync during gaming and video. However, if you're looking for over-ear comfort with active noise cancellation for flights or commuting at a more affordable price, the Skullcandy Hesh ANC are suitable, but they have inferior performance for calls and gaming. Both offer very good overall sound and noise isolation, but the Audio Technicas provide better controls and app features, while the Skullcandys have longer battery life and a foldable design for easy transport. "There’s plenty to like about the ATH-TWX7. A robust set of features brings a lot of convenience to your day. But a few of those tools could still use some fine-tuning and the lack of automatic pausing in 2024 is a head scratcher. Still, the audio is mostly good, and transparency mode is better than most. Add in the solid call quality and the in-app voice test and the ATH-TWX7 are a worthy consideration, especially at this price. Too bad it falls short of being a more complete package some of the competition offers for a slightly larger investment."
"Skullcandy’s Hesh ANC are compact, wireless over-ears for everyday use that are tuned for bass and designed to suppress or amplify ambient noise as required. In addition to Bluetooth 5.0, optional tracking via the Tile app is supported so that these headphones can be found if they get lost."
