If your budget allows for a midrange price and you're seeking a modern, wireless experience with active noise cancelling for varied scenarios including music, calls, and travel, the Audio Technica ATH-TWX7 is an excellent choice, especially with its high scores in comfort and microphone quality. It supports the LDAC codec, a low latency mode, and is sweatproof, which is advantageous for exercise use, though it has a relatively shorter battery life. On the other hand, the Koss KSC75 offers very good sound quality at a budget price, suitable for simple tasks like listening to music, but lack wireless capability, microphone quality, and active noise cancelling, making them less versatile for calls or noisy environments; they are wired and might not be as robust as the ATH-TWX7 in terms of durability and features. "There’s plenty to like about the ATH-TWX7. A robust set of features brings a lot of convenience to your day. But a few of those tools could still use some fine-tuning and the lack of automatic pausing in 2024 is a head scratcher. Still, the audio is mostly good, and transparency mode is better than most. Add in the solid call quality and the in-app voice test and the ATH-TWX7 are a worthy consideration, especially at this price. Too bad it falls short of being a more complete package some of the competition offers for a slightly larger investment."
"Let’s not insult the KSC75 by saying that it’s simply good for the price… because it’s far more than that. It basically has a monopoly at its asking price, and could still give modern budget headphones a run for their money 15 years after its release. The KSC75 is the world’s best not-headphone."
