If you prioritize calls and meetings, or are often on the move and need a more compact and lightweight design with advanced features such as active noise cancelling and an app equalizer for sound customization, the Audio Technica ATH-TWX7 earbuds are a better option, despite their higher price. They also offer a better overall sound quality and are optimized for both Android and Apple devices. However, if budget is a concern and you prefer longer battery life for extended sessions and don't mind on-ear headphones with a more basic feature set, the JBL Tune 660NC could be suitable for you, but they are not recommended for use during exercise and have lower performance in several categories like calls, gaming, and TV. Engadget

Billy Steele | January 2024
"There’s plenty to like about the ATH-TWX7. A robust set of features brings a lot of convenience to your day. But a few of those tools could still use some fine-tuning and the lack of automatic pausing in 2024 is a head scratcher. Still, the audio is mostly good, and transparency mode is better than most. Add in the solid call quality and the in-app voice test and the ATH-TWX7 are a worthy consideration, especially at this price. Too bad it falls short of being a more complete package some of the competition offers for a slightly larger investment."

SoundGuys

Chase Bernath | April 2023
"The JBL Tune 660NC is the best value you can get from a set of on-ear headphones. There's no companion app so you don't get many additional features, but everything the JBL Tune 660NC sets out to do, it does well. At this price, the JBL Tune 660NC is an easy recommendation for on-ear headphone lovers"
